Dermatology for the USMLE (2017) is only about 150 pages long but it’s packed with all the buzzwords and images that you need to know for the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and other standardized tests.
This is not a foundational textbook in dermatology so you’d probably be doing yourself a disservice if you think you can become really good at dermatology practice by reading this book. The clinical discussions, particularly as they relate to differential diagnoses and natural history of important diseases, are too short for that.
That said, I highly recommend this book to anyone who is preparing for the USMLE or for other standardized medical examinations in which dermatology is heavily tested. In addition, medical writers and editors will also find this book to be extremely useful as a reference.
