Movement Disorders in Clinical Practice

Book Review: Movement Disorders in Clinical Practice

Movement disorders are often difficult to classify, teach and learn, but are nonetheless extremely important to clinical practice. Myoclonus, for example, is an extremely important clinical sign, as is tardive dyskinesia.

Movement Disorders in Clinical Practice

Movement Disorders in Clinical Practice (2010) by K. Ray Chaudhuri is a superb text that teaches you almost everything you need to know about movement disorders. The text is erudite, the tables are extremely informative and the images are  engaging. It’s only about 100 pages long, but after you read it, you’ll feel as though you read an 800 page book. It’s packed with useful information, and it is one of the core books in Neurology: A Curriculum for Self-Guided Learners.

The book might be slightly advanced for the average medical student, but definitely ideal for primary care practitioners.

I highly recommend it!
